Introspezione draws its inspiration from the great land/art work written from 1984 to 1989 by Alberto Burri (artist, painter, and italian doctor) called “Grande Cretto di Burri”, in the old town of Gibellina in Siciliy, destroyed by an earthquake in 1968. The whole composition consists of a real music, giving it an impressionist nature. Sound-effects and harmonic-timbre perceptions happen by turns, taking the place of the traditional thematic formulation.

In 2017, the work was chosen to take part in the event called “Bozar Next Generation” -it is very important among the international events, dedicated to classical contemporary music composers- in the project “International Rostrum of Composers”, went in the Centre for Fine Arts (Bozar), in the city of Brussels on 19th of November, 2017.  (Giovanni Pizzitola)
